-
Principal learning, developing applied knowledge, understanding and skills in the context of the sectors comprising the Environmental and Land-based Diploma Development Partnership. Click here for further detail.
-
Generic learning, including functional skills in English, maths and ICT, and personal learning and thinking skills.
-
Additional or specialist learning – an opportunity to study further environmental and land-based topics in more depth, or to broaden the range of study through complementary learning.
-
A project, which will allow individuals to plan and organise their own learning. At Advanced level the project will demonstrate project management, synthesis and other higher cognitive skills that Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) need.
-
Work experience as a key feature.
The Diploma, at each level, will enable progression into any sector through further education, vocational qualifications including apprenticeships and National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs). At Advanced level, students can progress to higher education.
